Wolfson Children’s Hospital, New 12-Story Patient Tower

With construction over 50% completed and with 100% completion scheduled for the Fall of 2012,
the new 12-story patient tower will expand the current Wolfson Children’s Hospital by 350,000
square feet.
Facility Automation Solutions looks forward to being a part of Baptist Health System’s ongoing
growth for their building automation system needs
and building access and security needs.
The new building will not only expand services for
pediatric patient at Wolfson Children’s Hospital on
floors 1-6 of the new structure, it will also expand
the adult services at Baptist Medical Center on floors
7-12 as well.
Archbold Hospital, North Patient Tower, Thomasville, GA
Serving the southwest Georgia community since 1925, John D.
Archbold Memorial Hospital is part of a 5-hospital, 4-nursing
home system with more than 800 beds.
With Archbold Hospital’s tremendous growth over the years,
several additions have been built at their Thomasville, GA
facility. The latest addition is a 7-story north patient tower that
will include new and significantly larger spaces for the
Emergency Department, Surgery Department and the Intensive
Care Unit. The construction was completed in March 2012.
Facility Automation Solutions partnered with this healthcare
system for their building automation and control needs. This partnership not only included
building automation and controls for the new patient tower, it also expanded our work for this
southwest Georgia’s health system to include the following additional projects:
•
Mitchell County Dialysis Clinic in Camilla, GA - All building automation and controls
including controls for their reverse-osmosis system. This work was completed in October
2011.
•
Brooks County Hospital in Quitman, GA - HVAC Upgrade project, this work was completed in
November 2011.
•
Archbold Hospital’s Lab Monitoring System in Thomasville, GA, this work is in progress.
•
Archbold Professional Office Building in Thomasville, GA - HVAC Retrofit, this work is in
progress.
•
Ambulatory Care Center in Thomasville, GA - HVAC Retrofit, this work is in progress.
•
Grady General Hospital in Cairo, GA - Infrastructure, Diagnostic Imaging & Domestic Hot
Water controls, this work is in progress.
•
South Georgia Urology Group in Thomasville, GA - Controls retrofit work is in progress.
